Onga Jollof battle: Ghana comfortably secures the bragging right as the best Jollof in Africa.

The debate over who makes the best Jollof between Ghana and Nigeria has been settled... at least for the moment. This was after Ms Sika Mortoo, a 24-year-old Ghanaian aspiring chef, unanimously won over the taste buds of the judges for the much-anticipated Onga Jollof Battle. Sika, who represented Onga Ghana, won the Ongalicious bragging rights in a battle against Nigeria's Chef Turray, who could not live up to the popular "Naija No Dey Carry Last" catch phrase. Three judges, Chef Balo, Chef Love Ansah and Yehshen Naidoo all voted in favour of the Ghanaian Jollof.
As the intense battle between the two contestants heated up in the kitchen, peace reigned between the several good-spirited Ghanaians and Nigerians who came to the Crystal Park to witness the competition, as they were treated to exceptional Ongalicious Jollof and thrilling games. The event was punctuated with entertaining performances from rotating DJs, artists and the two comic MCs Foster Romanus and Jacinta, representing both Ghana and Nigeria respectively.
